    Partnerships Manager - SaaS

    ANZ's biggest Sales tech platform

    Partnerships, SalesMelbourneHybridPosted 1 September 2026

    Partner Manager | Own a Live Revenue Channel | $130K Base + $180K OTE | Melbourne (Hybrid)

You're not building a partner program from a blank page. You're inheriting one that already works — and you get to decide how far it goes.

This business's referral and affiliate network is already generating qualified pipeline. HubSpot ecosystem partners, GTM and RevOps consultancies, lead-gen agencies, individual advisors — all recommending the company to their audience, tracked and paid through HubSpot and First Promoter. Some of them are converting well. Some have gone quiet. That gap is your opportunity.

This channel is a named strategic priority, not a side project someone's running in their spare time. You're the first full-time owner of it. That means real budget-holder attention, and real room to shape how the function grows.

The mandate is simple: get dormant partners live, keep active partners referring, and go sign the bigger ones. You report directly to the Head of Sales, ANZ — not buried three layers down in a partnerships team.

    Why This Role

    • $130K base + $180K OTE

    • First dedicated owner of an already-live, already-producing partner channel

    • Direct reporting line to Head of Sales, ANZ — visibility at the top from day one

    • Clear whitespace: dormant partners to reactivate, higher-value partners still unsigned

    • Tooling already in place — HubSpot, First Promoter, a live Notion partner list — you're not building infrastructure from scratch

    • A defined, escalating remit: prove the motion solo, then grow into a bigger partnerships function as it scales

    • Cross-functional exposure from week one — AEs, Rev Ops, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success

    What You'll Actually Do

    • Own onboarding end-to-end — qualification calls, approval, First Promoter setup, licence entitlement, first-referral activation

    • Chase down signed-but-dormant partners and get them referring — this is your first 90-day win

    • Run a tiered check-in cadence — high-touch for your best partners, lighter-touch for the long tail

    • Brief partners properly on ICP, positioning and referral mechanics so they refer well, not just often

    • Monitor First Promoter for drop-off and re-engage partners before they go cold

    • Chase your own deals through the pipeline — coordinate with AEs and Rev Ops so referred deals actually close and partners get paid on time

    • Prospect and sign new partners yourself — prioritise the bigger, higher-leverage ones with real reach into your ICP

    • Keep HubSpot and the Notion partner list clean and current without being asked

    Who This Suits

You don't need five years of formal "partnerships" title on your CV. What matters is that you've sat close to revenue before — SDR, AE, account management, channel, or partnerships — and you understand how a referral actually turns into pipeline and then cash.

    • You're commercially minded — you can hold a partner accountable to activity without damaging the relationship

    • You're organised by default, not because someone's chasing you for CRM hygiene

    • You're comfortable prospecting and pitching — recruiting new partners is part of the job, not an occasional extra

    • You want ownership of something you can point to and say "I built that," not a slice of someone else's channel

    • You're happy with light oversight — this isn't a role where someone tells you what to do each day

Some CRM/affiliate tooling experience (HubSpot, First Promoter or similar) helps you move faster in month one, but it's not a filter. Relationship instinct and commercial thinking matter more.

    What Success Looks Like

    • First 90 days: dormant partners reactivated, time-to-first-referral trending down, partner records in HubSpot and Notion fully current

    • 3-6 months: a working check-in cadence across your Tier 1/2/3 partners, referral volume visibly moving, first new higher-value partner signed

    • 6-12 months: partner-sourced pipeline and closed-won revenue tracked and growing, a short-list of larger partners in active pursuit, and a case for expanding your remit as the channel scales

    Why This Opportunity Is Different

Most "partnerships" roles at this stage are either completely undefined — figure it out yourself, good luck — or so process-heavy you're just an admin layer on someone else's strategy. This is neither. The channel exists, it's proven, and you're being handed real ownership of it with a direct line to the person who can actually resource you.

The whitespace is real too: dormant partners to reactivate, bigger partners still unsigned. You're not manufacturing wins from nothing — you're closing an obvious gap that's sitting right in front of you.

If you want a channel with your name on it and a clear growth path as it scales, this is worth a proper conversation.
