    The Role

    This is a senior position for someone who's spent several years in the weeds of paid media and is now operating at a strategic level. You don't just optimise campaigns; you set the direction for them. You'll own our highest-value and most complex client relationships, make the calls on strategy and budget allocation, and act as a trusted advisor both to clients and to the team around you.

    You'll also play a key role in levelling up the wider team: mentoring junior and mid-weight specialists, setting standards, and bringing rigour to how we plan, test and report.

    What you'll do

    • Own the paid media strategy and implementation for a portfolio of key accounts; setting the channel mix, budget split, testing roadmap and growth plan against each client's commercial goals.

    • Lead across Google Ads, Meta and other platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, programmatic) as the account needs, with the judgement to know where the budget will work hardest.

    • Forecast performance and build media plans that connect ad spend to real business outcomes; revenue, pipeline, CAC, LTV; not just platform metrics.

    • Be the senior point of contact on client calls: present strategy, defend recommendations, communicate results and navigate tough conversations to build long-term trust.

    • Work closely with the wider team; creative, marketing and account management; to make sure paid campaigns are joined up with the bigger picture and delivered well.

    • Spot growth opportunities within accounts and make the case for scaling budgets and expanding scope.

    • Set the bar for measurement; robust tracking, clean attribution, and reporting that tells a clear commercial story.

    • Mentor and develop junior specialists: review their work, share knowledge, and help them grow into stronger marketers in collaboration with the Head of Paid.

    • Contribute to new business: support pitches, audits and proposals, and bring credibility to the room.

    • Stay ahead of platform changes, privacy shifts and industry trends, and translate them into smart moves for our clients.


    What they’re looking for

    • 5+ years managing paid media campaigns, including significant agency experience and time spent owning client relationships directly.

    • Deep, demonstrable expertise across Google Ads and Meta, with strong working knowledge of at least one or two other platforms.

    • A genuinely strategic thinker; you can look at an account and a business and build a plan, not just execute a brief.

    • Strong commercial instinct: you understand margin, lifetime value and what "good" actually means for a client's bottom line.

    • Confident managing large and complex budgets across multiple accounts without losing the detail.

    • Excellent client-facing skills; you can lead a room, present with authority and handle difficult conversations calmly.

    • Experience mentoring or developing more junior team members.

    • Advanced grasp of tracking, attribution and analytics (GA4, GTM, server-side tracking, conversion APIs) and the ability to troubleshoot when things break.


    Nice to have

    • Experience leading or line-managing a small team or pod.

    • A track record across multiple verticals (ecommerce, lead gen, B2B SaaS).

    • Experience with advanced measurement (incrementality testing, MMM, geo-lift experiments).

    • Familiarity with feed management, bid platforms and reporting tools.

    • Involvement in pitching and winning new business through paid ad insights / audits.

    • Google Ads and Meta certifications.
