Business Development Manager – NSW $115K Base + Super | $175K OTE (Uncapped) Sydney | Hybrid
The best schools in the country don't run on good intentions.
They run on systems that actually work — for teachers managing packed classrooms, administrators drowning in complexity, and parents who expect to be kept in the loop without chasing anyone down.
This platform is built for all three. Already widely adopted and trusted by the communities inside them, it reduces friction across the entire school ecosystem — and the schools that have adopted it don't go back.
The top-tier independent schools across NSW are the focus of this role. That's the market. That's the opportunity.
The opportunity
This is a pure new logo enterprise role. You'll be identifying, engaging, and closing some of the most prestigious independent schools in the state — institutions with high standards, complex procurement environments, and multiple stakeholders involved in every decision.
The OTE is realistic, the targets are achievable, and the commission is uncapped for those who exceed them.
These aren't schools you cold call on a Tuesday and close by Friday. They're sophisticated institutions with considered procurement processes, long memories, and high expectations of anyone who walks through their door. Success here is built on genuine relationships — earning trust over time, understanding what a school actually needs, and positioning yourself as a long-term partner rather than a vendor chasing a signature.
What this role actually requires
The buying environment is sophisticated and the people across the table will have high expectations from the first conversation. Five-plus years in B2B sales is the starting point — beyond that, what matters is executive presence, a genuinely consultative approach, and the kind of polish that feels natural rather than performed.
You'll need:
A strong track record in enterprise or complex B2B sales
Comfort with long, considered sales cycles — you know how to stay alive in a deal without forcing it
Executive presence — you communicate like someone who belongs in the room
The ability to generate your own pipeline through networking, outreach, and relationship-building
Natural sales ability — people trust you quickly and don't feel sold to
A current driver's licence
EdTech or education experience is valued. It's not essential. The ability to learn a complex environment and build credibility quickly is.
