    Some important callouts:

    • You need deep knowledge of how digital/growth marketing works.
      If you've never had a conversation with a client about the merits of more investment in Bing Ads vs Google Ads vs more SEO focus then this isn't the role for you.

    • Solid understanding and experience working in agencies is a big, big plus.
      It's going to be very hard to convince us that you can sell these services without the above experience.

    • You need demonstrable experience of growing accounts over time.
      The person who succeeds in this role isn't a hunter who brings in accounts, its someone world-class at nurturing and growing key accounts over a long period of time as a trusted advisor.

    Why This Role Exists

    WP Creative has a strong and mature delivery engine, led by experienced Project Managers and a General Manager overseeing execution.

    To reach our next growth milestone of $20M ARR within three years, we need a dedicated commercial role focused on expansion-led growth within our existing client base.

    This role exists to own strategic client relationships and account growth, not delivery.

    The Client Partner is responsible for identifying, shaping, and closing expansion opportunities while protecting long-term trust and value.

    Your Mission

    To grow revenue from existing clients by building deep strategic relationships, uncovering growth opportunities, and positioning WP Creative as a long-term digital growth partner.

    You are accountable for turning existing client relationships into a predictable, scalable expansion revenue engine, exercising strong commercial judgement on when to push for growth and when to protect long-term value.

    This is a commercial role, not a delivery or project management position.

    What You Own

    You own:

    • Expansion revenue across a portfolio of existing clients

    • Long‑term commercial health of client relationships

    • Account growth strategy and opportunity pipeline

    • Strategic conversations with senior stakeholders

    You do not own:

    • Day‑to‑day delivery or execution

    • Project management or resourcing

    • Escalations or operational issues

    Delivery ownership sits with our Project Managers and General Manager.

    What You’ll Do

    Client Growth & Expansion

    • Build trusted relationships with senior marketing and business stakeholders

    • Understand client goals, growth blockers, and success metrics

    • Proactively identify and propose expansion opportunities (upsells, cross-sells, new initiatives, increased retainers)

    • Lead commercial expansion conversations and close growth opportunities

    • Own expansion opportunities end-to-end, with minimal founder involvement

    • Proactively grow accounts upmarket by expanding scope, complexity, and strategic value

    Strategic Client Engagement

    • Join selected client meetings with clear intent: insight, opportunity discovery, and relationship building

    • Listen for underlying pain points, future goals, and commercial signals, not delivery updates

    • Position WP Creative as a strategic growth partner, not a reactive vendor

    Revenue & Pipeline Management

    • Own expansion forecasting, tracking, and reporting in HubSpot

    • Maintain a clear, visible expansion pipeline

    • Collaborate with leadership to refine pricing, packaging, and expansion plays

    Internal Collaboration

    • Work alongside Project Managers through influence and insight, not authority

    • Share client intelligence to support delivery alignment and future growth

    • Contribute to scalable, repeatable account growth systems

    Success Metrics (KPIs)

    Your performance is measured on outcomes, not activity:

    • Expansion MRR per quarter

    • Net Revenue Retention (driven primarily by expansion)

    • Average account value growth

    • Client retention (baseline expectation, not the primary success metric)

    If you need delivery ownership to feel effective, this role is not the right fit.

    Experience & Skills

    • 5+ years in client partnerships, account growth, or consultative sales (agency or marketing services)

    • Proven track record of expanding existing accounts

    • Strong commercial and financial acumen

    • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders

    • Experience working with B2B, marketing‑led organisations (AU and/or US)

    • Comfortable working with distributed teams

    Compensation:

    • Base Salary: $120K-$140K

    • OTE: $200K+ (uncapped for over-performance)

    • Location: Fully remote (AEST-aligned hours, with flexibility for client needs)

    • Type: Full-time, Permanent

    • Reports to: Co-Founder/CEO
